South Asian cities face intensifying heatwaves that threaten lives, economies, and especially vulnerable groups. Nature-based Solutions such as tree-lined streets, shaded vending zones, rooftop gardens, and restored wetlands, offer a cost-effective path to urban resilience, reducing pollution, recharging groundwater, reducing extreme heath, and boosting health, livelihoods, and biodiversity.
