Abstract

This position paper outlines the Red Cross Red Crescent\'s objectives for using social protection to manage climate-related risks. Climate change is increasing poverty and vulnerabilities, making it crucial to enhance community resilience. The paper highlights how social protection measures, like cash transfers and public works programs, can help households avoid falling deeper into poverty and foster the development of climate-resilient livelihoods.
