The importance of wetlands in disaster risk reduction has gained global attention. In recognizing this important function of wetlands, the Convention on Wetlands adopted the Resolution XII:13 (Wetlands and Disaster Risk Reduction) in 2016. Nevertheless, there are many gaps in translating this policy level commitment into ground level actions.Guide for Wetland Managers”, with a special focus on the Asia and Pacific region. This guidance aims to provide insights to relevant national and regional agencies in advancing their disaster risk reduction and climate action strategies.
