This compendium highlights locally led nature-based solutions (NbS) implemented across Bangladeshi cities to address key urban challenges such as flooding, heat risks, and erosion. It reviews enabling policies, governance structures, and introduces a cost-benefit analysis framework to support informed investment decisions. Developed through case studies, stakeholder workshops, and literature review, the compendium aims to build the capacity of local government institutions, policymakers, and development partners. It offers practical guidance to integrate NbS into urban planning, fostering climate resilience, human well-being, and biodiversity through inclusive and adaptive approaches.
