Learn what young people and teachers, policy makers, practitioners, businesses and engineers can do to get involved in our race against the climate emergency.
This course is being developed with support from the European Union.
Nature offers many solutions to reducing the impacts from disasters and climate change, such as stabilizing slopes with vegetation and restoring wetlands to buffer excess rainwater.
In this free-of-charge Massive Open Online Course, UNEP will help you to understand how to apply nature-based solutions. The course will provide guidance on how to implement nature-based solutions, from looking at the hazard exposure level and socio-economic context to considering cost-benefit analysis.
This course is made for everyone interested in this topic.
Nature-based solutions are relevant to everyone, and we all benefit from seeing them applied. The introductory module is designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless your level of experience or your background. Additional focused modules will follow, aiming at covering specific applications of Nature-based solutions, from the role of businesses and finance to urban greening infrastructure.
In order to make it as widely accessible as possible, the course will be available free of charge on a number of different platforms, which will be announced shortly.
