Prof. Fabrice Renaud has a background in agronomy with an emphasis on environmental pollution by agrochemicals, in particular pesticides. Prior to joining the University of Glasgow in 2018, he worked for over 13 years at the United Nations University – Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) in Bonn, Germany where he was the Head of the Environmental Vulnerability and Ecosystem Services section.
Prof. Renaud currently works on the H2020 project OPERANDUM project which focuses on Nature-based Solutions to reduce hydrometeorological risks in Europe; the Living Deltas Hub project which addresses the sustainability of deltas in Bangladesh, India and Vietnam; and leads the project “River basins as ‘living laboratories’ for achieving sustainable development goals across national and sub-national scales” which focuses on synergies and trade-offs between SDGs.
