UN Environment, in partnership with Practical Action Sudan, State Government, and community organizations, promoted sustainable drylands and water resource management in North Darfur to enhance disaster resilience in five villages. Mangrove Conservation for Improved Climate Resilience in the Limpopo River Basin – Mozambique
This bilingual video in Portuguese and English explains the importance of mangrove ecosystem conservation in improving communities’ resilience. Local coordinators of the USAID Southern Africa Resilience in the Limpopo River Basin (RESILIM) program and the Centre for the Sustainable Use of Coastal Zones in Mozambique show how these efforts can be replicated.

11th International Conference on Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change (CBA11)
Hosted by the Government of Uganda, this year's conference theme is 'Harnessing natural resources and ecosystems for adaptation'. Scientific Corner
The Green Experiment: Cities, Green Stormwater Infrastructure, and Sustainability

The authors propose an experimental framework for policy, implementation, and subsequent evaluation of green stormwater infrastructure. Results indicate that green infrastructure plans should incorporate community involvement and communication, and an iterative process for knowledge production.
