The Indonesian Petland Partnership Fund calls for proposals

Wetlands International Indonesia recently launched the Indonesian Peatland Partnership Fund programme to support community-based peatland conservation, restoration and sustainable development. As peatlands will become highly prone to fire when they are drained, peatland fires have become a significant problem in Indonesia. The Fund seeks to restore peatland to reduce fire risks and greenhouse gas emissions. A Call for Proposals is open until 07 July 2017. Check out details for grant applications here.

A new report on ‘14 Solutions to Problems Climate Change Poses for Conservation’ discusses lessons from these projects, including restoring beavers’ habitats and establishing living shorelines for coastal resilience. American Rivers, the U.S. river conservation organization, has produced an online report highlighting the importance of equitable investments in natural water infrastructure.
