Abstract

This study explores the social and institutional factors influencing the adoption of living shorelines in Florida, crucial for coastal risk reduction and resilience. It identifies barriers like permitting issues and design uncertainties, and enablers like education, incentives, and policy standardization, underscoring the importance of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in shoreline stabilization.
