Building climate resilience from the ground up with scalable, resilient Nature-Based Water Solutions pilot projects in the MENA region

Abstract

A new technical brief from the Al Murunah project highlights how nature-based water solutions are being scaled across Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine to tackle water scarcity, flash floods and extreme land degradation. The initiative combines wetland restoration, spring rehabilitation, solar irrigation, flood-buffering green infrastructure and community-led governance to build long-term resilience in fragile and climate-vulnerable settings.
