Managing Coasts with Natural Solutions
Produced by The World Bank Group, the report provides recommendations for how the protective services of mangroves and coral reefs can be measured and valued in a manner consistent with national economic accounts and included in other decision-making processes. It synthesizes evidence of the coastal protection provided by mangroves and coral reefs, and analyzes how ecologists, economists and engineers estimate the coastal protection services of coastal habitats.
